Artist's Description

In this gritty street photography work of photograpy art I wanted to capture the essence of modern life in modern metropolis.

During the busy hectic night of a modern dynamic city people cross a pedestrian crossing through a bustling traffic jam. The miniature style effect of the photograph blurs out the cars whilst making the very small pedestrians stand out. High above the scene I waited for the strong shadows of the public as they crossed the highway. Bright urban lighting helped to cast long shadows on the pavement below. The aerial shot was captured by me, John D Williams, at a great height.

This is a monochrome image in black and white and would suit a busy bar or restaurant looking to show off a frantic city scene, a downtown image captured at night. The wall art would benefit be having a dark black frame and white mat to help accentuate the cool black and white tones of the picture.
