Mother Russian Matrushka Nesting Doll Family is a photograph I took when travelling in Moscow during 2015. I love the vibrant and bright colors of the hand painted wooden dolls. Considered by any as toys these nesting dolls are in fact traditional symbols of Russia and are highly decorated by very skilled artisans.
I have applied a filter effect to resemble oil painting in the style of van Gogh and Gauguin as this helps highlight the wonderful details of the paint work. These gifts are considered as the true symbol of the Mother of Russia and would great on any home wall and interior design décor ideas.
