Description
Photograph wall art of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament in England and is perhaps one of the best and most famous London tourist attraction's. Steeped in history this classic building remains a central bastion of power and authority in the United Kingdom.
The name Big Ben actually refers to the bel high up in the tower hidden behind the iconic clockface. In 1844, it was decided the new buildings for the Houses of Parliament should include a tower and a clock. Geoge Airy (Astronomer Royal) once commented "The Great Clock should be so accurate that the first strike for each hour shall be accurate to within ONE second of time."
As well as home to Members of Parliament, the design is instantly recognised by both tourists and members of the public. Looking across the river Thames, the sky is overcast, but there is not much Sun in Engand. clouds appear toned despite the strong and vibrant colors of the photograph image.
This picture of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament would make an ideal gift or reminder for anyone who has visited the capital of the UK.
