Mechanical Cogs of Time - Art

Machines left to rot and rust forgotten in this world. Their dust covered surfaces and greasy gunky stains for all to see. Whether the machines are combine harvesters or Tractors they all belong to “Cogs of Time”. These machines, dilapidated old wrecks are not new and shiny instead their operators their owners have moved on and left these vast beats of machine behind. Unwanted and unkempt they fade into time. Perhaps they are broken, their parts, cogs, wheels, and machine innards stripped open and snatched by mechanics hands. Those farmers greedy for old parts for their new agricultural mechs have broken down these once beautiful behemoths. And now the rust peels and flakes and falls to the ground. The painted surfaces scratched and ripped, crust flakes falling like long forgotten dead tanks into pools of grease. I love the essence of forgotten abstract machines. The triptychs make it even more so for me…
